Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger will miss the highly anticipated game between AFC North rivals the Baltimore Ravens (7-2) and the Pittsburgh Steelers (6-3) on Sunday, Novemeber 18th. Roethlisberger is recovering from a serious separated rib injury as well as a shoulder sprain that he sustained in Monday night's game against the Kansas City Chiefs when he was sandwiched by Chiefs linebackers Justin Houston and Tamba Hali. The rib dislocation is particularly dangerous because it is in such close proximity to the aorta that any movement of the injured rib could potentially puncture the aorta. The shoulder injury is a sprained sternoclavicular (SC) joint, an injury that typically requires a few weeks of rest to recover from, depending on the severity of the injury. Big Ben may be missing the Steelers-Ravens game, but you don't have to. Veteran backup QB Byron Leftwich will take Roethlisberger's place next Sunday. Besides Roethlisberger, Pittsburgh might also be missing safety Troy Polamalu in their game against Baltimore. Polamalu is recovering from a right calf injury. Are you looking to become a Steelers season ticket holder? You won't miss any Steelers games when you own a Pittsburgh Steelers SBL.
