Last Seats Installed at Minnesota Vikings’ U.S. Bank Stadium

With the opening date just a few months away, construction work on the new home of the Minnesota Vikings is entering the final stages. As recently announced on the official U.S. Bank Stadium website, a major construction milestone was reached at the end of March, when crews finished installing the last of the seating at the venue. “We’re pleased to complete the installation of the seating at U.S. Bank Stadium. The system is intelligently designed and will offer maximum flexibility for events,” said Mortenson Construction executive Eric Grenz. “The project is on schedule and it is exciting to complete another important milestone in the construction of this amazing facility.”

Unlike most other sports facilities, the seating at U.S. Bank Stadium relies on a unique rail system that makes installation faster, as well as making it easier to reconfigure seating for various events. Some of the seats in U.S. Bank Stadium are also closer to the field than any other seats available in any NFL stadium. The venue offers sideline seats that are a mere 41 feet from the field, as well as suites that are located just 25 feet away. U.S. Bank Stadium is scheduled to be completed in July, well before the start of the 2016 football season. Of course, with the 2016 football season just around the corner, now is the perfect time for Vikings’ fans to secure their seats in this world-class stadium.
