We’re hosting Tampa Bay. I always want to start the season at home, get that buzz with the home crowd and get them going. I always enjoy that." Interestingly, the Jets only have two night games in the 2013 season and both of them are away games. The Jets take on the New England Patriots at 8:25 PM on September 12 and then three weeeks later go to the Georgia Dome to take on the Atlanta Falcons at 8:40 PM on October 7.

The game against Atlanta kicks off a tough five-week streak of opponents for New York as they face the Steelers, the Patriots, the Bengals, and the Saints before finally heading into their Bye Week in Week 10. In Week 12 the Jets have another major opponent when they take on the Super Bowl Champion Baltimore Ravens at M& T Bank Stadium. Rex Ryan coached the Ravens from 1999 to 2008, so he should know what a difficult venue M& T Bank Stadium is for visiting teams.
