This past weekend two NFL stars, Dez Bryant and Marshawn Lynch, were arrested on separate accounts. The Dallas Cowboys WR, Bryant, was charged for assaulting his mother, while the Seattle Seahawks RB, Lynch, was arrested for a DUI.
Bryant, who also got in trouble with the law in February at a night club in Miami, allegedly hit his mother across the face with a baseball cap. She says this is not the first time it happened and she was tired of being abused. Bryant discovered there was a warrant for his arrest and turned himself in, posting bail for $1,400. His charges could cost him up to $4,000 and a year in jail, not to mention what he may face from the NFL for breaking the personal conduct code.
Lynch was arrested early Saturday in the Oakland area. His case was cited and he was released from jail. Charges may or may not be pressed pending the district attorney's decision with his chemical tests from the morning. Lynch has stayed out of trouble since being in Seattle, however did have a few incidents while with the Buffalo Bills.
