Pittsburgh Steelers Will Keep Heinz Field Name

Fans of the Steelers and tomato-based condiments can breathe a sigh of relief. The home stadium of the Pittsburgh Steelers will continue to be called Heinz Field, despite a recent merger of the locally-based H. J. Heinz Company with the Chicago-based Kraft Foods Group. Although the new company will be called Kraft Heinz, the football stadium will keep its current name, according to company representatives cited by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. The Heinz Company struck a 20-year deal over the naming rights for the stadium in 2001, which means that the stadium’s name will most likely remain unchanged for at least another six years. While the start of the 2015 football season is still several months away, it is never too early to make sure that you have a perfect seat at Heinz Field for the next Pittsburgh Steelers game.
