Mercedes-Benz Stadium is the new home of the Atlanta Falcons. Breaking ground in May of 2014, the stadium opened on July 30, 2017. The new stadium is located at 441 Martin Luther King Jr Dr NW in downtown Atlanta. The stadium features a roof with eight triangular translucent panels that open above the field. It also features a 360 degree video board that extends from one 10 yard line to the other, curving around the endzones to make a complete oval. Mercedes-Benz Stadium has three levels (100, 200 and 300 levels) and holds 71,000 people. The stadium has an expandable seating capability for other events to 75,000 to 83,000 people. Mercedes-Benz Stadium also features retractable seating and curtains to limit the capacity to 40,000 seats for Atlanta United FC soccer games.
