The Carolina Panthers began their organized team activities (OTAs) at Bank of America Stadium today. Also known as Phase Three of the Panthers’ offseason training program, the four-week long session of practices kicked off Tuesday morning, and included team and individual sessions. Per NFL rules, teams are allowed to hold 10 OTA practices and a three-day mandatory minicamp during this time period. Although contact is not allowed, teams are permitted to conduct 7-on-7 and 11-on-11 drills. The Panthers have scheduled 10 OTAs across three weeks, followed by a mandatory minicamp. The Panthers OTA and minicamp schedule is as follows: Week 1 began today and will end on May 26, Week 2 will run from May 31 through June 2, and Week 3 will start on June 6 and wrap up on June 9. The Panthers will also hold a mandatory minicamp June 14-16. Remember, you can reserve your perfect seat at Bank of America Stadium today with a discount Carolina Panthers PSL from PSL Source!
“It was good to have everybody back,” said Carolina Panthers head coach Ron Rivera in a post-OTA session with the press. “I was pleased with what I saw for the most part. Some of us are a little bit rusty – believe me, we weren’t mistake-free. I’d like to believe everyone understands the sense of urgency. We play in about 107 days. What we need to do is get better every time we get on the football field.” Are you ready for the 2016 football season?
